Howard City Council meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month at 7:30 pm at the Howard City Office 110 N Pine. Dates may be rescheduled as needed
Your City bills can be paid from your bank account on the 10th of every month. There is no charge for this service. We must have a signed form on file. You will still get a copy of your bill as usual. Call or come in the office for details!
See the following link for the City Water Consumer Confidence Report and see the city codes for code and ordinance information.
Please remember that our city gas and water meters are read near the 15th of each month, so your bill due Sept 10 is paying for your utilities from about the 16th of July to the 15th of August.
Several bills have been reported lost in the mail, please remember we have not control over that and WATCH for your billing near the first of the month if you get paper bills. Using Email to receive your bill is the fastest delivery option.
Most people think that water leaks are someone else's problem, until they check! Water leaks inside your home can account for as much as 10% of your water bill, and waste 50 cents or more a day if the source is a hot water tap.
As in the past, repairs or replacement of existing service will be priced at actual cost of time and materials; and determination of liability for those costs will be made on individual basis. Typically the City is responsible for the meter and lines on our side, and property owner responsible for lines from meter to and including their house or building. Damage beyond regular maintenance should be paid by resident, owner or the person causing the damage
